Great Guana Cay
An early morning start on Monday to take advantage of high tide - it is very shallow in the channel out of Hope Town.
We arrived at Great Guana Cay and our anchor would not go down - the windlass was not working again. Steve came over in the dingy and the guys worked the problem while I circled the boat around the anchorage.
This cay is famous in the Abacos for their bar on the beach “Nippers”. It has been almost completely rebuilt and is back in business - although not very busy on Monday.
The bar overlooks the fabulous beach.
As we were leaving we bumped into a German couple who we have met a couple of times on this trip. They were only staying one night as they are planning on crossing to Florida.
Time for that dinner at the restaurant “Grabbers” in front of our anchorage. You can also use the pool here if you want.
The back of our boat was facing west for the best view of the sunset.
On Tuesday morning the weather was nice and cool for a long walk to yet another beach!

Today - onwards to Treasure Cay - a short journey across the Sea of Abaco.
