Luxury Yacht Charters

We counted about 20 luxury yacht charter boats in this anchorage outside of Staniel Cay.

The “King Baby” is 144 feet long and accommodates 10 guests with 9 crew for only $175,000 per week plus expenses. These yachts have all the water toys you can imagine for their guests. Check it out:

It is quite spectacular at night when the yachts are lit.

Staniel Cay is a convenient location with an airport.

No luxury yacht for us so we continue swimming, exploring and boat work when the weather doesn’t cooperate.

Lise and Steve and family have left to visit the Land and Sea park for a few days. We stayed here but it is getting too busy and we will probably leave and look for a quieter anchorage until we meet up again. We met a nice couple on the boat next to us - Sandy and John on S/V (sailing vessel) Navicula. Sandy and I had actually chatted at a yoga class in George Town - funny how you meet up with some of the same people in different locations.  They are from Pickering, Ontario originally but now live at their cottage in the Kawarthas in the summer and on their boat in the Bahamas in the winter.

Today it rained off and on but tomorrow promises to be sunny and calm. We need to pick up a few groceries and gas for the dingy first thing in the morning and then we’ll decide on our next destination.
