Black Point & Staniel Cay

 On Sunday morning we woke up to a horn blast from a large power boat and discovered that Gaya’s anchor had dragged as they were sleeping. They were able to reset it quickly - scary however. Another day of staying on the boat and a very rolly night. We decided to move around the point to Black Point Settlement hoping for calmer seas.

We were able to take the dingy to town for a nice walk.

While at the dingy dock I recognized a Canadian couple who I follow on their YouTube channel occasionally. So funny to meet them in person and have a nice chat. Here is their channel if you are interested:

Gunter got some boat work done - polishing the stainless steel fittings.

Unfortunately the wind was still strong and we had another rolly night, so today we travelled 7 miles to Staniel Cay. The seas are much calmer but it is crazy busy here with huge mega yacht charters. We forgot that school breaks have started and many families are on vacation.

It is however lovely and calm so we will stay until the weekend. Lise’s family is flying in here on Friday and then we will move on.
Some cute cottage rentals here too;
