High Winds
We are still in our anchorage across the bay from George Town - gusty winds are keeping us from moving on. It may sound strange that sailors are complaining about wind but we would have to travel on the other side of this island in the Exuma Sound to get anywhere - strong winds and big waves.
In our protected spot we can still hear the wind howling. However, it is sunny and warm and there is still lots to do - the only challenge is the wet dingy ride to town across the bay - luckily we have lots of provisions and Steve and Lise even purchased some yogurt for us when they made the journey across. The beaches and the trails on the island are easy to get to by dingy. Traffic jam at the dock:
This one is called Flip Flop beach and has been “developed” by cruisers for gatherings or a picnic lunch.
Every day there is another trail to walk and another amazing view.
Yesterday we tried a bit of snorkelling.
Did I mention the butt tree? The things that keep us amused!
A foot of fresh snow here... enjoy your blog.. take care
